[DIGITAL] 17.11.2020: Interactive Case Study - Product Portfolio Pipeline Review (in Kooperation mit Alcimed)

Workshop in cooperation with Alcimed.

In this workshop, you will be able to learn, how pharmaceutical companies consider drug candidates in their development pipeline and define where to concentrate their efforts. In an interactive, hands-on case study, you will experience how companies estimate the expected market size, build scenarios and identify the most promising drug candidate.

Contents:

  • Introduction into the pharmaceutical development funnel and the medical needs in 2 key indications: multiple myeloma and diabetes
  • revenue determination for pharmaceutical products
  • Estimation of the potential market size in the 2 target indications
  • Scenario building and identification of the most promising candidate to focus future efforts on

Goals of the workshop:

You will learn about the different stages in the drug development, how to estimate expected revenues, estimate the market size and what key considerations companies apply for taking business decisions on the most promising developments in their pipeline

Lecturer: 

Elisabeth LAMERS-SCHMIDT, PhD, is Project Manager in the Cologne Office of Alcimed. She graduated with a BSc in Applied Biology from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) as well as a BSc (Hons) in Genetics (Immunology) from the University of Aberdeen (UK), and holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Queen’s University Belfast (UK). Elisabeth brings over 4 years of experience in healthcare consulting.
