Department Description

The Workplace Investing division has been established in Germany in 2006 to exploit the potential of defined contribution concepts and to position Fidelity as a leading full-service solution provider in the German pension market. Within this context, Fidelity is offering three main propositions to corporate clients in Germany, a pre-retirement solution, a DC-type pension plan as well as the external funding of book reserves whether DB or DC via the Fidelity contractual trust arrangement. The unit comprises a sales team, client relationship management, implementation and communication functions.

Purpose of your role

As Sales Associate you will be a member of the WI Sales Team in charge of supporting the sales process by answering requests for proposals, delivering fund and investment analysis, preparing sales presentations and client specific solutions. Beyond that the Sales Associate is involved in business development as well as marketing and event activities of the WI business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility to deliver client-focused RFPs on schedule
  • Prepare investment analysis by using internal sources as well as Morningstar Direct and Bloomberg
  • Prepare and monitor standard product presentations and participate in seminars and roadshows
  • Prepare materials for investment review meetings and support the relationship managers
  • Help in the execution of the sales strategy
  • Research and monitor market developments and competitors
  • Evaluate additional opportunities in the pension market
  • Participate in the product development process

About you

  • Degree in finance, economics, business administration or equivalent
  • Potential first job and/ or internship experience in the financial services industry is of advantage
  • Experience in an international environment or a period of overseas studies would be a plus
  • Solid investment know-how
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, keen to take on responsibility and new projects
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Creative and imaginative
  • Good team player
