Robus Capital was founded in 2011 as an asset manager specializing in public and private debt of mid-sized companies in Europe. Today, Robus Capital manages assets under management of over EUR 1 billion from offices in London and Frankfurt. Institutional investors (insurance companies, foundations, pension funds or family offices) represent the main customer group of Robus Capital. The investment focus is on debt instruments such as bonds and syndicated loans. Investments can be made in both the primary and secondary markets and are also made in special situations that are very complex and require in-depth analysis.

Werkstudent / Working Student Team Operations (f/m/d)

As a working student at the Robus Operations Team you will be able to obtain first-hand insights into asset management and, particularly, into the workings of a fundamental analysis-driven fund manager.

The tasks in investment fund operations encompass a wide range of activities aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning and compliance of our funds. Some common tasks include:

  • a) Trade Processing: Monitoring the execution, settlement as well as reconciliation of trades, cash balances, positions, and other transactions with brokers, custodians, and counterparties to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • b) Investor Reporting: Preparing investor communication, handling inquiries, monitoring fund flows, and providing timely and accurate reporting on fund performance and portfolio holdings.
  • c) Performance Measurement and Attribution: Calculating and analysing fund performance, benchmarking, and attributing performance to various factors (e.g. security selection, beta)
  • d) Fund Administration: Providing administrative support to our portfolio managers and service providers, including fund setup, maintenance, and documentation.
  • e) Sustainability: Assistance in Classification and Disclosure Framework of an SFDR Article 8 fund including periodic disclosures and monitoring of the portfolio composition and metrics.
  • f) Technology and Systems Support: Utilizing technology and systems reconciliation tools to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance control environment.
  • g) Compliance / Regulatory: Assist in monitoring transactions, policies, and procedures.

We seek dedicated individuals to join our team and the position of working student may well act as a steppingstone for a full-time position. It is anticipated that the Working Student works inside Robus Capital’s operations team in Frankfurt for an extended period of time (>6 months) and inside the applicable German tax regulation for working students, starting as soon as possible. Our team members will help you continue to learn about the asset management industry.
