Citi is looking for full-time Analysts to join the Investment Banking team in Frankfurt in 2025. The Investment Banking group advises corporate clients who want to raise funds in capital markets and who need strategic support in financial transactions. Initiatives you may be working on with clients include mergers; acquisitions; divestitures; financial restructurings; underwriting; and distributing equity; debt; and derivative securities. As an Investment Banking Analyst; you will join a training program where you will receive an in-depth education to learn the fundamentals of the Analyst role and introduce you to Citi’s culture. Whatever your degree is in; we will give you the training you need to excel.
We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. The Analyst program starts in mid-July and begins with a six week; in-depth training program in London before you join a team and your training will continue on the job. By the 3rd year of the programme internal mobility opportunities will be available.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) officers and professionals and participate in particular client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team
- Responsible for organizing and analyzing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
- Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals
- Conduct economic/financial research
- Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends
- Build complex financial models for valuation purposes
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualification
- You have a 5.0/6.0 GPA (Swiss scale 1-6), 1.6 or higher (German scale 1-5), 2:1 or equivalent
- You are in your final year of university or have graduated in a business administration, economics or related discipline
- You have an interest in business and previous relevant investment banking working experience
- You are fluent in English
