The Institute for Law and Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main (ILF) is looking for
a Student Assistant (m/f/d)
with Mandarin language skills
to support the Admissions and Marketing Manager of the program
LL.M. International Banking, Securities and Finance for Asian Students
for 8 hours per week, starting October 1, 2025.
The ILF is an international competence center in the field of law and finance and was established in 2002 as a foundation under civil law of the Goethe University in cooperation with the European Central Bank, the Deutsche Bundesbank, leading commercial banks, supervisory authorities and law firms. The ILF offers two English-language Master's degree programs for junior executives in the fields of law and business, the Master of Laws in Finance (LL.M. Finance) and the Master of Laws in International Banking, Securities and Finance (LL.M. International Finance). In addition, the ILF organizes seminars and conferences in the financial centre of Frankfurt.
Your tasks:
- Supporting the Admissions and Marketing Manager of the LL.M. International Finance for Asian Students program with the application and admission process of our students from Asia
- Assisting with the marketing of the LL.M. International Finance for Asian Students program, e.g. preparing and translating updates and texts in Chinese for social media platforms such as WeChat and Weibo, answering inquiries from prospective students or welcoming delegations from Asia
- Supporting the administrative team with the preparation, organization and implementation of events such as the “Orientation Meeting” and the “Graduation Ceremony”
- Performing general administrative and secretarial tasks and supporting the operation management for the lectures of the programs LL.M. Finance and LL.M. International Finance for Asian students
Your profile:
- You are a registered student at a university (all faculties are welcome)
- You have a very good command of Mandarin (written and spoken) as well as a good command of German and English. Further language skills (Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean) desirable
- You are confident in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- You are flexible, reliable, work independently and can motivate yourself
- You are a team player and you are characterized by a conscientious and careful way of working
