Workshop of the Career Service of the Goethe University and 360 Treasury Systems AG

Since its inception in 2000, 360T has taken the flight from a small technology start-up to a global player, becoming one of the largest electronic FX trading venues in the world. As Deutsche Börse Group's FX unit, 360T provides a web-based trading technology for over-the-counter (OTC) instruments, integration solutions and related services. Around 86 billion Euros are traded daily through our platform in a wide range of currencies. In this hackathon we aim to discover brilliant computer science talents and offer them a career opportunity as a software engineer or a test automation engineer. If you like to challenge your analytical and programming skills and secure the chance of working at an ambitious technology company, then you are the right fit for this event.

Goals of the workshop:

In this event you will collaborate in a team and challenge your analytical thinking and programming skills. At the end of the event, members of the top performing teams will be invited for job interview to further evaluate a prospective career as a software engineer or a test automation engineer for them.

Contents:

In this hackathon you will work in a team to develop a small software system utilizing both analytical and technical skills. The goal of the task is to develop a component used in high performance trading systems.

Lecturer: 

• Viorel Andronic is a software development team lead who joined 360T in 2013 and he is head of SD core components team.
• Tanshi Pradhan is a test automation engineer at 360T who has been with the company since 2019.
• Viorel and Tanshi will provide guidance for the participants and ensure that their solutions are being developed in the right direction.

Target audience:

Informatic, Computer Science and Mathematics faculty.

The participants are expected to possess the following skills:

• Basic programming knowledge (We will use core Java for the workshop)
• Basic understanding of unit testing and integration testing (We will use TestNG framework for the workshop)
