Start Date  

Internships in Germany are between 3 months and 6 months long. You must be available for the entire internship duration.  

You can apply for one of three seasonal intakes: Spring, Summer or Autumn. Each intake offers a flexible start date within the timeframes listed below. The internship end date can be outside the timeframe. 

• Spring Intake Start Dates (Digital & Structuring only): January 1 – April 30, 2026  
• Spring Intake Start Dates (XTrackers Product Specialist only): April 1 - April 30, 2026
• Summer Intake Start Dates: May 1 – July 31, 2026  
• Autumn Intake Start Dates: August 1 – December 31, 2026

About the DWS Internship

The Product Tech team is looking for interns in the following areas: 

• XTrackers Product Specialist
• Digital 
• Structuring 

About the XTrackers Product Specialist Team 

The XTrackers Product Specialists team are part of a global team located in New York, London, Frankfurt and Luxembourg. They cover the entire lifecycle of ETFs and Index Institutional Mandates from the first idea, through index and product design and implementation. Product maintenance and terminations are further modules. The Product Specialists also support client meetings and industry events with a focus on US and our 40 Act ETFs based in the Product Division, maintaining relationships with our Sales and Investment Division (Portfolio Management, Capital Markets) teams worldwide. 

As our DWS Intern, you will: 

• Assist the team in their initiatives around product and index development, product management, thought leadership, educational and marketing related content  
• Interact with index providers, portfolio managers and client coverage specialists to help the team carry out important product-related projects 
• Contribute to Xtrackers leadership as a provider of ETFs and indexing solutions 

About the Digital Team 

The Digital Strategy, Products, and Solutions (DSPS) team develops and executes the digital product strategy of DWS, with a focus on leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain and application programming interfaces to enhance the existing product suite and drive the development of new digital products and solutions. The team continuously monitors emerging digital market trends to identify and potentially capitalize on new opportunities. 
 

As our DWS Intern, you will: 

• Support strategic digital initiatives from ideation to implementation.  
• Collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.  
• Conduct research on market trends and emerging technologies.  
• Assist in the development of presentations and strategic documents for the senior leadership team.  
• Work in a dynamic, international team that values innovation and collaboration.  

About the Structuring Team 

The DWS Structuring team develops investment solutions for our retail and institutional investors worldwide. While the focus of activities lies in quantitative aspects, we also analyze regulatory and / or accounting issues relating to the developed investment solutions. 
 

As our DWS Intern, you will: 

• Work closely with the Structuring team on the development of new investment solutions and product concepts  
• Support the development of complex model-based Strategic Asset Allocations for institutional clients  
• Perform simulations and sensitivity analyses of various investment strategies and portfolio compositions and support the development of the applications used for this purpose in Python  
• Prepare documents supporting sales, product specialists and structurers in communicating complex investment solutions to clients  
• Learn about portfolio structuring and development of regulatory capital sensitive/efficient investment solutions
