Start Date  

Internships in Germany are between 3 months and 6 months long. You must be available for the entire internship duration.  

You can apply for one of three seasonal intakes: Spring, Summer or Autumn. Each intake offers a flexible start date within the timeframes listed below and the internship end date can be outside the timeframe. 

• Spring Intake Start Dates: January 1 – April 30, 2026  
• Summer Intake Start Dates: May 1 – July 31, 2026  
• Autumn Intake Start Dates: August 1 – December 31, 2026

About the DWS Internship   

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. About the Team 

The HR department at DWS plays a pivotal role in fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment as well as driving employee engagement and development across the organization. Our team is dedicated to aligning HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring that our diverse talent pool is empowered to contribute to the company's success. 

The DWS HR department is looking for interns in the following areas: 

• Workforce Management 
• Early Careers 
• Organizational Talent Development 

Workforce Management 

The Workforce Management (WFM) team aims to optimize workforce efficiency and employee productivity by ensuring that resources are positioned in the right roles, in the right locations, and at the right times. 
We collaborate closely with each division within DWS to identify and implement WFM opportunities. Additionally, we work with the Finance department to provide transparency regarding workforce costs and with the Strategy & Transformation team to ensure that the workforce aligns with DWS's strategic objectives. 

As our DWS Intern, you will:  

• Ensure information on job positions is correct, organized and aligned with DWS’ WFM plans 
• Gather and analyze data about workforce efficiency and productivity. 
• Help create HR-related reports and presentations for business representatives. 

Early Careers Team 

The Early Careers Team is dedicated to supporting and nurturing the growth of young professionals at the start of their careers. We focus on providing comprehensive training, mentorship, and development opportunities to help new graduates, interns and dual students thrive in their roles. The Early Careers Team is also responsible for managing our Graduate Program, ensuring a structured pathway for career development. Our team is committed to creating an inclusive and dynamic environment where fresh talent can innovate, collaborate, and grow. As our DWS Intern, you will: 

• Assist in the organization and execution of recruitment activities, including events, fairs, and early career program selection processes 
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires in graduate and internship programs 
• Support employee engagement initiatives and events 
• Analyze HR data to assist in decision-making and reporting 
• Help create HR-related reports and presentations for business representatives 

Organizational Talent Development 

The Organizational Talent Development Team is dedicated to fostering the growth and advancement of employees within DWS. We focus on creating and implementing strategies for on-the-job learning and professional development programs. We work to identify individual strengths and areas for improvement, providing resources and opportunities for continuous learning and career progression. Our efforts are crucial in building a skilled and adaptable workforce, ready to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving business landscape.  

As our DWS Intern you will:  

• Help design and develop training materials, including presentations and manuals 
• Assist in scheduling and organizing training sessions, workshops, and seminars 
• Update and manage databases of training activities, attendance, and outcomes 
• Conduct research on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development 
• Support in creating newsletters, emails, and other communication materials to promote training programs 
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of LMS platforms
